The Deadlock Night Shift EU #42 started with the debut of the new Leviathan’s roster against Abrahams. They expected to have a smooth honeymoon; however, the Russians had other plans. Abrahams surprised with a Calico pick who pumped out a lot of damage in the early game, shutting down McGinnis. Leviathan was able to stand their ground until the 29-minute mark, where they forced a fight at mid boss. arzo’s Venator parried 3 players from Leviathan, allowing his team to take the rejuvs and win the fight. From there Leviathan wasn’t able to do anything more.

Lowkey W vs Abrahams

Game 1

Abrahams bet one more time on sanya_sniper’s Calico and was able to get Pocket Pocket. However, Lowkey W prepared a very scary comp thinking of mid boss fights with Viscous, Sinclair and Vyper ready to mess up the pit.

This time Abrahams’ strat just didn’t click. Lowkey W dictated the pace of the game by winning the urn fights and getting kills around the map. An uncontested mid boss was the final resource that they needed to close the game.

Tas and saintmxsm had a nightmare game with their Paradox and Abrams ending 0/10/7 and 1/10/5. On the other hand, cosmetical’s Mina thrived and finished 11/1/12.

Game 2

Lowkey W opened the draft in the same way as the first game, picking the Silver, Victor and Viscous trio. Abrahams tried to adjust, taking Grey Talon to try to burst Silver, and Wraith to be their hard carry.

Abrahams started the second game strong, getting some kills and having an advantage in the lanes. However, a sloppy 13-minute urn put Lowkey W ahead in souls. After this they got a mid boss at the 17-minute mark, which resulted in an early shrine for Lowkey W. Abrahams was able to win some engagements and stay in the game. But one failed attempt to pick off hoot's Silver forced a fight that they couldn’t win. It opened a free mid boss that was enough to end the series.

One more time, Lowkey W proved to be ahead of the EU team in terms of macro gaming. They were able to control and win all fights around secondary objectives, like the urn and mid boss. Also, it seems they have too many weapons in their arsenal. Teams need to address Pocket in the first ban/pick phase; then they have Silver and Zerggy’s gun heroes; it seems almost impossible to respond to everything they have for now.
